RexiMemo Connect is for reposting one of your own Sudomemo Flipnotes to RexiMemo, one at a time. You do it from the Flipnote’s Sudomemo page in Firefox on your computer, so you do not need to transfer the PPM with a DSi.
RexiMemo Connect is different from the Sudo2RexiMemo Migration Tool extension. That tool is for migrating all the Flipnotes from a Sudomemo account to RexiMemo using the bulk migration process. Connect is the quicker option when you just want to repost a single Flipnote. Read Copying Flipnotes from Sudomemo for the migration steps.
Before you start
Use Firefox on a computer and get RexiMemo Connect from the download post in the official RexiMemo Discord server. Sign in to both Sudomemo and RexiMemo. The Sudomemo Flipnote must be yours, and its creator FSID must be linked to your RexiMemo account. You can check your linked consoles in Settings → Consoles.
Connect your RexiMemo account
- In RexiMemo, open Settings → API Key and generate a key. The page also shows a short one-time client login code. Copy that code; it works once and expires after 10 minutes.
- Open RexiMemo Connect from the Firefox toolbar. In the RexiMemo Reposter popup, choose Connect RexiMemo.
- Paste the login code and connect. The add-on also accepts your full API key, but the short code means you do not have to put that key into the add-on.
If you generate a new API key later, your previous key and any add-ons connected through it stop working. Open the add-on and choose Reconnect / new key to connect again.
Repost a Flipnote
- Open one of your Flipnotes on a www.sudomemo.net/watch/ page.
- Choose Repost to RexiMemo! on the page. Connect your account first if the add-on asks you to.
- Wait while the add-on opens Sudomemo’s edit/export page, gets the PPM and uploads it. When it finishes, your new RexiMemo Flipnote page opens in a tab.
Repeat those steps for any other Flipnotes you want to repost. Connect brings over the Flipnote and uses the title and description shown on Sudomemo, but it creates a new RexiMemo post. Sudomemo stars, comments and the original upload date do not come with it.
If it does not work
- No Repost button? Make sure you are using Firefox with RexiMemo Connect installed, and that you are on your own Flipnote’s watch page at www.sudomemo.net.
- Sudomemo asks you to verify something? Complete the check on its edit page, then return to the watch page and press Repost to RexiMemo! again. If you were signed out, sign back in to Sudomemo first.
- RexiMemo says the creator does not match? Check that the Flipnote’s original or editing creator FSID is linked under Settings → Consoles. You can only repost Flipnotes belonging to a linked creator identity.
- Duplicate or upload limit? An existing copy cannot be uploaded again. If you have reposted several Flipnotes in a short time, wait a while and retry.
- Connection expired? Generate a new login code in Settings → API Key and use Reconnect / new key in the add-on.
Keep your API key and login code private. Do not post either one in Discord or send it to somebody offering to repost your Flipnotes for you.
