If you make a Flipnote in RexiMemo’s web editor, it needs a creator ID even if you do not own a DSi. An RxFSID is the ID RexiMemo assigns to an account that has never linked a console. It lets the editor put an author ID in Flipnotes you create or spin off.
Do I need to request one?
No. RexiMemo assigns an RxFSID automatically when an eligible account is created. Existing eligible accounts are assigned one as well. There is no code to enter or button to press. You can see yours on your Creator’s Room, beside the message that no consoles are linked. The web editor uses it automatically if your account has access to the Flipnote Editor experiment.
If a console is already linked, the editor uses your primary console FSID instead. An RxFSID is only for an account with no linked console that has never linked one before.
Why does it look like a Flipnote Studio ID?
An RxFSID has 16 hexadecimal characters, like a normal FSID. It begins with F and ends in 52455849, the hexadecimal bytes for “REXI”. RexiMemo assigns the middle characters uniquely. The different prefix and ending make it recognisable as a web-issued ID rather than a console ID.
The ID identifies which RexiMemo account made an editor Flipnote. It is not a password, proof of console ownership or a substitute for a DSi sign-in. RexiMemo signs the PPM separately; the letters and numbers in the RxFSID do not sign it by themselves.
What happens if I link a DSi later?
After you verify a real console on the same account, RexiMemo makes its FSID your creator ID. Flipnotes that account made in the web editor with its RxFSID are updated and signed again with the verified FSID. Their RexiMemo links, comments and other site activity stay attached. Keep a copy of anything you downloaded earlier: a PPM already saved to your own device will still contain the old ID.
I linked a console, then unlinked it. Can I get another RxFSID?
It will not be generated automatically. This prevents an account from repeatedly changing its web creator ID by linking and unlinking consoles. If you no longer have access to that console and need to use the web editor, contact RexiMemo support through the Discord server’s ModMail. Tell staff your RexiMemo username and explain what happened. Staff can check the account before deciding how to help. Do not make a second account to work around this.
What can’t an RxFSID do?
It is for Flipnotes created in RexiMemo’s web editor. It cannot link a physical DSi, recover a Flipnote Studio or Sudomemo account, or prove that you made a Flipnote uploaded elsewhere. It also does not give an account access to the gated Flipnote Editor experiment; that access is separate.
