Forgot your RexiMemo password? If you linked a Discord account to RexiMemo before losing access, you can reset it yourself. The link goes to your private RexiMemo notifications channel in the official Discord server.
Reset your password with linked Discord
- Open Reset your password. You’ll also find this link below the password box on the Log in page after an unsuccessful sign-in.
- Enter your RexiMemo username and choose Send reset link.
- Open your private RexiMemo notifications channel in the official Discord server. The link is sent there, not to website notifications or your DSi.
- Open the link in a browser, enter a new password of at least eight characters twice, and choose Reset password. You can then log in with the new password.
The link works once and expires after 30 minutes. If it has expired, request a new one. If RexiMemo says you requested a link recently, check the Discord channel for the first message or wait five minutes before trying again.
If your Discord account isn’t linked
The automatic reset needs a Discord account that was already linked to RexiMemo. Joining the server now won’t link it to an account you can’t sign in to. Instead, contact ModMail in the official RexiMemo Discord server. You do not need to link Discord to RexiMemo to use ModMail. If you do not have a Discord account yet, you will need to create one to contact ModMail.
Tell staff your RexiMemo username and that you need help resetting your password. They may ask for non-secret details to check that the account is yours. Once they have confirmed this, a moderator can give you a temporary password. Sign in with it and RexiMemo will ask you to choose a new password before you continue. Enter the temporary password in the Current password box on that page.
If the Discord message does not arrive
Make sure you’re checking the Discord account linked to RexiMemo and that you’re still in the official server. The reset message goes to a private notifications channel, even if you have ordinary Discord notifications switched off. If the reset page says it could not send the link, or the message still does not appear, contact ModMail.
Keep reset links and temporary passwords to yourself. Staff will not ask you to send your current password, a session cookie or an API key. Resetting your password signs out existing sessions, so you may need to sign in again on your other devices.
