Deleting a Flipnote removes it from RexiMemo so it can no longer be viewed normally.
If you change your mind later and still have the Flipnote on your DSi, you can restore it by uploading the same Flipnote again.
Deleting a Flipnote
You can delete one of your own Flipnotes from its Flipnote page on the RexiMemo website.
Once deleted:
- it is removed from your public Flipnotes
- other users can no longer view it normally
- it no longer appears in normal RexiMemo browsing
Restoring a deleted Flipnote
To restore a Flipnote you previously deleted, simply upload the same Flipnote again from your DSi.
You can upload it normally through a Channel, or use the upload flow on reximemo.net.
RexiMemo will recognise that the Flipnote previously existed and restore it instead of creating a duplicate.
The newly uploaded PPM replaces the deleted copy, and the Flipnote becomes Public again.
What if the Flipnote is already on RexiMemo?
If the Flipnote has not been deleted and is still on RexiMemo, it cannot be uploaded again.
When using the website upload flow, RexiMemo will tell you:
This Flipnote already exists on RexiMemo.
The existing Flipnote is left unchanged.
Deleted Flipnotes and moderation
Deleting your own Flipnote is different from a Flipnote being removed by RexiMemo staff.
If staff removed a Flipnote for moderation reasons, do not reupload it to get around the removal. If you believe the decision was incorrect, use the normal appeal process.
In short
Deleted Flipnote: upload it again to restore it.
Existing Flipnote: RexiMemo will stop the duplicate upload.
A restored Flipnote becomes Public again.
